Understand Me, Before 'Its' Fall

Somewhere, the heart cries in its deep wounds;
For sometimes it is held by the love which bounds;

'Stranded' to meet its destiny;
'Attached'-- to hold on to the celebrated mutiny;

Why in the aloofness my Heart is bewildering
Why it wanders in the search 'never ending';

You come, on- above 'it' -- (heart)
The longing is beyond the humane 'permit'

My Heart cries....

The dreams, the goals set,
Sounds to be resting on a distant island,
Deep into the dark waters, on an un-soothing chair, beyond the 'Man's Hand'

My Heart's rhythms are unusual,
it's connection with the eyes is beyond perusal

Impossible is the perusal of its 'pursuit'
My Heart still wanders,
It wanders in the search of the dreams,
which are for humanity 'unsuit'

Attached now, to the things-
which I had chose, long back to discard,
Like a face with filthy beard,
it itches to its own 'existence'

Why do I do? Oh Lord!
I await thy Grace,
To win this never ending race;

When the whole world is so busy,
I am 'unabled' with my 'ability'
Yeah! I know- it sounds a li'l flimsy,
Ahh! Look at my Heart, see gently it goes uneasy.

My Strengths, I see are getting shattered
My Pillars went bewildered, Ahh!

When everything goes off the hand
-See; How lonely 'plays' the Heart's once most rocking 'Band'
When Life seems to be a 'torture'
When it procreates the thirst 'Mortal'

Why can't my own People notice my tears;
Remember Oh World! In the midst of everything I was with them in their fears;

Can anybody ever come to console my heart and stop my 'tears'
It sobs... Alas.. Ah.. it sobs!
Hug me once tight to free me 'once and for all' from these ugly fears.

The Mind changes its wardrobe and it's head gears;

My Heart My Love stands alone,
Ahh- My God says- I am not meant to stand in 'pairs'

Alone it sat, for all this while
Walked alone in dooms turmoil

Once I want to close my eyes,
Let My Heart soothe;

Once I want to sleep in content,
Before my demise steps in front;

Once, Once, Let it be- where it wants to be;
For Once is this life, once is this chance.

For, Once it loved all,
Understand me before its 'Fall"

The Time's broom

The Time’s broom
The choices we make, the fate we face
The people we love, the things -which we get attached with
The aphorisms we contemplate, the principles we lay down
The things which we do, the objects we hate,
The fights, the vehemence, the gentleness the humility,
The qualities, the brevity,
The heart, the mind, the ego, the identity, the existence;
Everything seems to be so futile, so weak, so small, so inconspicuous;
The ‘Time’ pervades through all.

‘Time’ – all pervading Time.
The ‘Time’ itself is timeless, yet it is on Time.
The ‘Time’ cherishes the virtue of ‘Permanency’;
The ‘Time’ is its own ‘nourisher’ The ‘Time’ is inevitable

It is a great friend, it is greatest amongst the foes,
In its womb lies the secret of destiny, In its Heart uproars the Great mutiny,
Its lust exists to befall the legends whom it woes. It is the witness to our Heart’s deep groves

It sees you rise and fall, It sees you good and bad, It sees you love and hate
It sees you closely, every moment; it’s always with you, yet absent,
To some it appears vehement, to some- like a moon’s crescent;
Lit with an intellect radiant
It witnesses you naked, yet its nature is decent…
It exists because it is transcendent
It makes your heart beat, Beat in a rhythm unknown

It makes your mind fall in lust,
It makes the mortals rise to the skies and; And then it makes them fall to dust.
It is so robust
Sometimes I feel, it has set itself to destroy the Earth’s crust!

I wonder, we chase it everywhere…
Yet, we fail to experience it in the ‘Present’
Watch out, it is there with us every moment…
With us it dwells gently,
Teaching us the nature of life benevolently

So that we derive our energy from ‘That’ Entity, When our foes attack us vehemently
Look, See the Immortal Time, In those sunlit, Heart soothing Mornings
Can you See it’s beauty,
It dwells in the smiles of the unseen Infinity,

Oh dear, Beloved, Why does your Heart not try?
Oh Beloved, Why do in its race you too try?
Leave it. You will be forced to cry…
Has it ever touched your Heart
Look the seasons have changed, Gone are those clouds, when it rained,
Past is the time of that winter chilled, Because ‘Time wants to show the Summers ‘dried’
So that you await those rains
So that in your longing, You remember ‘Him’,
Him, Yes ‘He’ is the ‘Time’, You better Thank ‘Him’

But you tried to chase Him in Disgust, You! you tried to defeat Him,
Though He helped you every moment, in the dried sands and in the sour grapes,
You failed to understand its Great Steps.
Be vigilant now, at-least, when It stands before, at your doorsteps,
with Its vehemence and war-time Wardrobe.
And Brother, now… Now!
Now you attempt to stop, the taken Step,
You remind Him of your Love, of your attachments in depth,
You plead before Him, for your bonds and the seek pardon for the bygones.
With Mercy when it Looks at You, With benevolence when He Loves you,
You again forget Him, Lost in your Pride Vain,
You try to rise again to defeat ‘His Great Reign’
Why don’t you understand its not about the Race with Him,
Listen My friend, it tries to teach you something, At-least now learn to trust Him

For, like Trust his nature is ‘Transcendence’
(Time) He expects your Remembrance
For His Universality, In its Solitude
He exists amongst us, in the midst of mankind to what we know as ‘Time’
Understand Without ‘It’ Your Life is futile,
Without ‘It’ you do not exist,
Do you Remember, your childhood and the phase when you were born,
Its gone, yet it exist with you, in the ‘Times’ gone;

A day will come when you will meet your doom,
If Time is not respected, it will dust your memories with Its ‘Mighty Broom’.

My Heart's Lonely abode

Unmoved, tranquil, serene and composed, focused and lovely my heart once sat in its content abode;
Detached and non-expecting, yet loving and gentle, firm and steadfast yet tender and placid, my heart once sat in its heavenly domicile;
So beautiful was its abode, even the heaven’s felt shy, so soothing was that state that nothing could be denied;
There was only one thought, and the thought was the focus on the goal and its meticulous pursuit;
Only one desire moved it, and that was the cherished pursuit; it was the battle with eternity, it was a Heart’s race against Time;
For I chased a status higher than the Time, stronger than its Will, quicker than its pace;
But the Time, Time had unknown things in its mind, its Will had always swayed the mortals,
Time, the history has witnessed, always kept uncertainty as it next move, and battle was the only way out.
Time was strong and unreachable, unseen but ever present, I wonder sometimes over its transcending nature;
Time they say is the best teacher, Time they say is the best healer, Time they say is the permanency factor;
Time! Yeah Time!
My battle was with the Time, my race was against the Time, For Time was immortal and I had so less of ‘It’,
My will was to go immortal in the ‘existence’ of Time’s immortality;
And for that no-thing was placed above my longing.
I guess, I was conditioned to like no-thing
I liked nothing which couldn’t pursue the dreams, I cherished nothing but stillness of eternity, and my heart was tranquil;
And I moved, moved in the desired direction.
Then, then there were ups and downs, ups and downs, pains and pleasures, love and desire, lust and pining and the attachment’s yearning;
From heavens my Heart descended to the humane earth, bound by the relations and humane dearth.
It just changed, changed for uncertainty, changed to complicate my chase of eternity;
Like Time even Change lived in permanency, Like Time even Change walked on the road to eternity.
The connived plot went beyond the horizons of my intellectuality. Hampered ‘me’, I see my dream hanging alone in unknown fraternity.
And it just changed.
I feel the pain, deep absorbed in my heart, engaged with my ambitions; it sits in a lonely abode
See how it moved, the time swayed up and down, instructed by no one, my heart fought to own the world and but it dwells in a lonely abode.
See it likes the speed, but it has slowed down, it likes the battle but the Time its opponent is unknown.
See it wants to pursue, but the dream has gone unknown, hence it sits alone in its lonely abode.

Think before you celebrate

Oh, dear friend, I ask why do you celebrate?
When your father dies, you cheer on the wins of the cricket
Yes your father, who feeds you, the farmer who toils hard while you enjoy the wickets.

Oh dear friend, in this 'to be' welfare state,
you talk of business and love, hot babes and lust, fashion and passion,
when your father dies, moment after moment sinking deep in his failed crops' emotions;

Look you bought the coke and cigarette for those small 20 bucks
Oh friend, on that, those 60 crore farmers can stay for the whole day taking care of their li'l ducks
Look you are enjoying it when your father dies.

You got the happy price menu, McD's Rs. 20- a burger,
See, that poor father of yours is sleeping hungry to save himself from the bank's torture,

Look friend, your Merc C class loan is just for 3% p.a.
But your father is smashed with 15% interest  if he is to buy a tractor;
Look you race in your car on the wheels of motions
Remember the highway was tolled by the sweat of your father's emotions;
Look you kiss the girl in your car, when your father dies.

In this country of sons, why do we oust the fathers, the food givers,
Look they have no fear of death for they find it so beautiful;
So beautiful than the land which their sons have left for them;
Look you enjoy the beauty of the city glamorous when your father dies.

Can you see my friend those tears in his eyes;
So serene and tranquil you will find them when they see their children grow up and eat food in the day,
Can you see the grief in the same tears because they know that today they gonna sleep in the hunger's lies;
What could be the dooms day, what could be the hell,
what could be the heaven,you can see them all in their eyes;

Oh My God, I just forgot to tell you about the darkness in which your father lives;
Let me begin;
In this world of glamour and fashion,
In this world of Cricket and football,
Oh, Yes! and your Olympics and Common wealth games too,
What a lighting effect you see, the darkness turns into the daylight so that you can enjoy the games,
What grandeur you witness! the lightning and the benevolent Sun too feels shy before these shows of fame.
Oh goodness an't you done with the facebook and the twitter,
your tech savvy minds of all the middle class you belong to,
Look, their your father sheds his skin seasonally like a tree in the autumn,
When you enjoy the lights of your life,
He toils in vanity hoping that he will get some light to water his crops impromptu;
Remember the time of load shedding in your cities, is the time for which they get light in their villages,
So when you enjoy the TV shows remember your father is shedding his skin in his dooms darkness,

In this India shining,
When a li'l educated masses of yours get those middle class jobs in the MNC's and corporations,
Remember the land on which your Plant is located,
Once your father used to be there, and with his sweat and blood it is the same land which he cultivated,

Can you smell his blood, can you smell his sweat,
Well perhaps you have never tasted the soil to which you belong;
Because you never bothered to see the mother-land whose heart for you always longed;

Oh see they are displaced from their lands, and now they toil here and there in the search of food,
See those owners of the lands, stroll their like the beggars,
And you who occupied it look at them as if they are some strangers;
Oh not just strangers but the trespassers;

Look their family has migrated into the cities,
On a job hunt your father is, look, just gaze the world around you,
How many of them you can see,
For the whole day your father is looking for a job to get nothing,
while on those spat streets his family, again in hunger is waiting,

"Look the father has come", excepting some food his kid mellows in hopes
Again you see the drop of tear in his eyes,
To see his child sleep in hunger and fear,

Look, My friend you wasted the McD burger and the diet coke as you girlfriend was getting late;
Just throw it near your fathers bed, perhaps his child can have something to satisfy his hunger,
Can you see him on that foot path,
Oh, look but what have you done my Friend,
You crossed him on the footpath,
With your apparently sexy and benevolent girlfriend giving a look of disgust at them;
and hear she murmured , "Why do these Jungly people come and spoil th city"
Jus remember my friend your father salary come from the MNC,
which's plant is located on the land of 'this' roadside food giving father of yours.

What a shame my friend, what a shame!
Why do you celebrate with beer,
When your father is weeping deep into his dried tears,
When you opt for the bottoms up with your glass of whiskey
Why don't you remember, your enjoyment comes from the blood of your father who lives in world risky.

How can you celebrate when your father dies their moment after moment.

The era shall begin

It has set itself up now,

I wished for discontent then,

It is my dream alone whom I shall always bow,

The dreams, the love, and its perception has changed,

The heart has melted the mind is drooping down,

is it that my time is ending now,

is it that my faall has begun now,

To the Gods and to the Evil I pray then,

that thou art is my love,

that thou plan is to what I bow,

But, But I feel for my cause,

I feel for my vision,

I shall tolerate no division,

And I say that I shall fight

Fight for the right against the might

And I promise you victory

For Victory is my fate

Victory is which's journey I suffer hate,

Nonetheless, Nonetheless I shall fight upto death

I shall fight upto death to rise again

The eve shall end and the era has begun

When they say I am a villain

I see it falling

deep into the trench collapsing

I see a glacier sliding

I see a catastrophe

the darkness has triumphed

& i see no hope

the kingdom which i built

is falling with the love which i killed

The ambition which i had set

I see them percolate deep into the soil wet

I try to hold them

But i see spoiled is the whole game

Down i see is going my fame

And villian is what they have me name

No matter how good i was with them

They always gifted me with defame,

then why shouldn't I leave the Glacier sliding

then why shouldn't I connive for the right which is falling

then why shouldn't I, tell me why shouldn't I.......

Now, the time Has begun for the Villian's riding.....

Dilli Ka Daur : Ratiya

Yeh Us Daur ki baat hai,

Jab Nindiya Hamare Logo ko aati;

Sannate mein Raaton ki Yeh Baat hai,

Jab Aakhiyan Sabki Mit Jaati

Yeh Kaisi Ratiya Hai-

Jab Aasmaan mein Chaand nahi Suraj Hai-

Sadako Par Andhera Nahi Log Hai-

Aur Yuh Hee Daftaro Se Desh Hamara Chal Raha Hai.

Par Na Suraj Ki Roshani-Na Hindustaan Ke Log

Na hum, Na tum, Na Woh, Na Koi Aur ,

Na Behati Gaadiya, Na Yaha Ke Taur

Koi Na Jaane Kab Khatm Hoga Is Ratiya Ka Daur

Yeh Woh Andhera Taur Hai Jab Khuli Aankhein par Andekha Taur Hai

Jaha Ek Taraf Shehero Mein Bijli Ki Chamchamahat Hai,

Toh Dusri taraf Jawaan Hindustaan ki Bhuk ki Aahat Hai.

SarFaroshi ki bas Chuaraaho aur Baccho Ki Mehfilo Mein Baatein Hai,

Jo Bachpan Ke Saath Hee Is Ratiya Ke Andhere Mein Kho Jaati Hai.

Aur Fir Jawaani Ke Saath hee Rangraliyo, Tawayafo Aur Jaalsazi ki Baatein Hoti Hai

Woh Dekho ek samay ke aabad un gaaon mein aaj barbaadi

Aur Sheher ke un laundo ki aazmalo tum har baat, dekho kaise hoti hai Hindustaan Ki barbaadi

Woh Dekho unhe nahi pata kaun tha Ram Rahim Ashok re

Par karte woh baate Roman Shurtaao ki

Woh Dekho Shivaji -Pratap Aur Prithviraaj Ke Wanshaj is Desh ko

Woh Dekho Tipu Sultan ne Chhodi hui Iss Nasl Ko

Napoleon aur Nero ke naam se Yeh Hame Itihaas sikhate Hai

Iss Taur Ko Iss Daur ko Takalif Mein Dekhkar Dil Mera Fir Machal Jaata Hai.

Woh Ek Taraf Kashmir Ki Sisakti Vaadiya Hai

Toh Dusri Taraf Mumbai Ki Aabad Sadake Hai

Woh waha Assam Tripura Ki Pahadi Khun Mein Lathpath Hai

Aur Yaha Jaipur mein banta har din ek naya mehel hai

Woh waha Lalgadh Orissa Ki Sadake Aag Mein Lipati Hai

Woh Ram Rahim Ke Naam Par Gujarat Jalta Hai

Toh Kabhi Bhasha ko lekar Marhatta aur Bhaiyya Khun Bahata Hai

Woh Sisakti hai Aaj bhi Aurat Mithila mein apnne haq ko pane ki khwaish mein,

Woh Jaatiwaad ke naam par Uttar Bharat mein Siyasat hai Murtiyo aur Bagicho Ki

Woh harayana mein milte khun bahate Khaandaan

Woh Dekho Fauj bani Hamari Kaatil, Intezaar hai tera Bismil

Aur Khadi Yaha Dilli Ki Buland Imaarate Apne Hee Desh Par Aag Kode Barsaati Hai

Yeh Kaisi Ratiya, Jaha Apne Hee Nahi Samajhte Apni Batiya Hai.

Batti Gul, Sadak Par Khun Ki Dhul, Duniya Mashgul Phir Bhi Mera Hindustaan Sota Hai.

Baba Ramdev : Is supporting him Justified

In the midst of the Inflation, debates and discussion over Commonwealth Games- corruption, the 2G spectrum Scam, the Adarsh Society Scam, Karnataka Land Scam, if we reverse the video-cassette of our lives we will be reminded of the burning Kashmir, a li’l more back- burning Naxal corridor, and li’l more back we will see suddenly Man popping up on the Indian Television, with an aim to re-establish the Lost Vedic Sanskriti (era) by revisiting and teaching Yoga Abhyasa to this lost race of Homo Sapiens Sapiens (The Wise Man) in India and World at large.

Almost for 3 years I witnessed the growth in the number of Baba’s Bhakts (disciples) doing Pranayam every morning-evening, buying his products, contributing by Tan-Man-Dhan (Labour-heart-Monetarily) to the cause of Baba in establishing Pantanjali Yoga Peeth at Haridwar.

And with his growing fame, every morning he taught the Hundreds of thousands of his disciples the importance of Yoga, the importance of Ayurveda and with it he taught them and educated those mixed masses about the freedom struggle, about Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Rajguru. He educated them about the History of Shivaji, Rani Padmini, Maharana Pratap, Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan. And as the time passed he reviewed everything with an intention of getting Vedic Era back in this Modern world and for that he wanted the citizens to be healthy. Millions were benefitted. You personally try to watch him over TV and do Yoga even for a month, we will see how body reacts and rejuvenates. (Provided Yoga is done in the prescribed way). Now the real game started when Baba Ramdevji accused a Uttarakhand Minister of having sought Rs. 2 crores as bribe from him at one of his yoga sessions in Gonda. Then Swami Hat Yogi of the Akhara Parishad accused Swami Ramdev of having given Rs .25 lakhs as bribe to a Minister in the erstwhile Congress Government. And now Baba was full in issue. The Government threatened to prosecute Baba for defamation if he won’t name the Minister. And the whole Blah-Blah-Blah- shit of Indian Politics happened, with every Party trying to serve their political interest. By this article I am not in the remotest sense attempting to justify Baba, but in every sense I am attempting to point out to- the Indian urban-Middle and upper middle class mentality- especially of the youth-educated youth which gets diverted so easily by the Media or the Corporate, that we somewhere deep in our hearts as Indians have forgot that we too can make our own opinions by understanding the situation as it is and not as it is shown. The very inquisitive nature of ours is dying.

Now on 3rd June Baba Ramdev will sit on Hunger strike. A friend of mine on facebook had his status message as “Baba Ramdev will go on hunger strike??? as if anyone cares a damn! Credibility is a pre-condition for leading any protest.”

The question here was directly of Baba Ramdev’s credibility, our further discussion on the topic enlightened me that the reasons, my friend was of that opinion were as follows :

- Baba was alleged of Saffron Terrorism

- There are better people in the civil society to secure the fate of our nation.

- Baba is just fame- hungry. Media-mongul who wants to feel important.

Hence the anti-corruption crusade coming from him was a joke.

This is the big Problem with Indian Democracy. On one side we say that we want our black money back from the Swiss and other banks. So that India can prosper, and when a Sanyaasi is leaving everything aside to take up the cause and go on hunger strike to give India her rightful wealth back, we as a youth instead of supporting him we mock him in public. The best we can do is, if not support him-lets not oppose him. Stay neutral. But unfortunate are we and unfortunate is the fate of this land.

In democracy everybody has the right to do what they want. Hence that Sanyasi has the right to protest. One might choose to disagree with him, there may be many who will oppose him for whatever reasons. But that man has got support too. People have accused him of saffron terror. The question remains- is it proved? And who made the allegations? Are they true? And even assuming that he is a terrorist, he still has got a constitutional right to protest against any wrong which he considers it to be wrong.

We are a country where we talk about human rights, legal and Constitutional rights of Kasab, Pakistani terrorist, a Mujahideen, jihadi on the name of Islam. We have people who advocate what all rights-whether right to appeal, file revision, etc. should be given to Kasab. I as a person from the Law background in no way can oppose Kasab’s possession of those rights, understanding our Legal system and the principles to which we owe our adherence to.

I guess this Sanyasi’s case is far better than Kasab's. We at-least as Lawyers should not conclude only on the basis of allegations. Nonetheless we cannot undermine his contribution in Health Sector, Hindus Muslims everybody follow him. It cannot be ignored. If there are more credible people than him, then they should come forward and do something for the nation. Indeed we should do something. Sanyaasi is doing something good let him do. Why oppose him. My point is there is no point in jumping to the conclusions without any base only because media or some of our kiths and kin says so. We need to be trend setters. We have to use our talent constructively, in achieving the end of Welfare State.

There are people who will say that he is good Yogi, so he should stay ‘ONLY’ as a Yogi. Unfortunately the notion of young urban college going India about Yogi- is a person who has renounced his family life- a hermit. No, fortunately our concepts of Law and religion are not restricted to these small things. From the time immemorial Yogis and Rishis have advised the Kings and the Warlords for the establishment of Ram Rajya- a true secular state-where the State is Corruption free- Equality-liberty and fraternity are the cherished virtues-objectives and where every man is free to follow his own religion and allied rights, which to us as a Modern Indian society it is always taught that these values are western and is a British Gift to us, the brown race of Aryans, when they were (fulfilling their Holy responsibility of) shouldering the ‘White-Man’s Burden.’

Hajime Nakamura (1912 - 1999), a Japanese scholar, His field of research was exceedingly broad, encompassing Indian philosophy, Buddhist studies, historical studies, Japanese thought, comparative thought, author of ‘The History of Early Vedānta Philosophy’ an epoch-making study in four volumes.

“Indians conducted far more elaborate speculations than the Westerners of antiquity and the Middle Ages with respect to the theory of numbers, the analysis of psychological phenomena, and the study of linguistic structures. The Indians are highly rationalistic, insofar as their ideal is to recognize eternal laws concerning past, present, and future. The thought represented by Tertullian’s aphorism, “credo quia absurdum,” or “I believe because it is absurd,” had no receptivity in India.

The Indians are, at the same time, logical since they generally have a tendency to sublimate their thinking to the universal; they are at once logical and rationalistic. On the contrary, many religions of the West are irrational and illogical, and this is acknowledged by the Westerners themselves. For example, Albert Schweitzer, a pious and most devoted Christian, says, “Compared to the logical religions of Asia, the gospel of Jesus is illogical.” (Note: I apologise if a Christian sentiment is hurt, as my own sentiments, by this statement of Albert, are hurt)

It is often contended that in contrast to Western thought the spirit of tolerance and mutual concession is a salient feature of Eastern thought. The religion of the West at times is harsh and even emphasizes struggle for the sake of keeping the faith and condemning unbelievers:

“If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.” (Luke, 14.26).

Such aggressive thoughts as expressed here did not appear at all in the religions of East Asia. Throughout the religious world of India a more tranquil and peaceful atmosphere has prevailed from time immemorial. Gotama and Mahavira ended their lives in peace.

"The idea of tolerance and concession is based on admitting the compatibility of many different philosophical views of the world. The Indians are prone to tolerate the co-existence of philosophical thoughts of various types from the metaphysical viewpoint. Interference with religions on the part of the state was not found in India, but in China it occurred to a considerable degree.” Ways of Thinking of Eastern Peoples: India-China-Tibet-Japan- By Hajime Nakamura p. 16 – 19).

How unfortunate it is that they till date our society has failed to understand what we really are. How unfortunate it is that our own people bring disgrace on Yoga, Ayurveda and traditions only because it is Indian and not British. British not only plundered our country and drained our wealth to their nation, but also they enslaved our minds. Hence today we fail to appreciate the role of Yogis in our society. (True Yogis- not the ones who mock them for personal gains).

Baba is being accused of – that a female died because of consuming of a Lauki Juice prepared by Patanjali Yoga Peeth. The Government declared that they will take action against Baba for the same.

Few examples I have to give :

Brufen, Paracetamol- not allowed in US for their toxic effects. Allowed in India, half off India is dying slowly because of it. Amisulpride-200, used for schizophrenic disorders not allowed in US, but Indian Government happily allows their trade here. Why don’t we Indians oppose them. Proposition is not to justify, if at all anything goes wrong with Baba’s products, but is it expose our mentality and unfortunate prejudice towards ourselves. Is it because we are used to lick their asses, as Lord Macaulay by his visionary ideas has enslaved the minds of Indians for all the generations to come where we are born with a understanding that whatever is Indian is inferior to whatever is British or Western. And we are born with a bona fide duty to not anybody revive our culture and establish our identity, and proudly take up the identity given to us by the West i.e. brown in colour but British in taste and style.

Why can’t we understand that a huge loss is being caused to the Pharma-Co.s because, almost Tens of Millions turned to Ayurveda and Yoga and were cured of most of their physiological disorders, free of cost.

Why do we totally undermine the possibility of an existence of a conspiracy or connivance on the part of the Corporate world against Baba.

I have a vision, to see India prosper as Indians, brown in colour, Indian in taste, and mind you Indian taste is much better than the British. (Please research on, how British Society and Scientists are accepting Indian social, ethical values, religious and spiritual values).

Not to mention why our Media does not come to crossroads against the Government when it comes to Bhopal Gas tragedy. But Media never leaves a single chance to defame the oppressed Naxals and tribals. The question is why the Urban India so indifferent towards the Traditional and rural India. We need to think. We need to find answer for this. Else soon we will see an explosion. Explosion of the long suppressed feelings! Nonetheless its fatality is unquestionable.

There are accusations that Baba Ramdev is an agent of Sangh Parivaar, why because he opposes only congress. Baba Ramdev justified his opposition to Congress by taking a stand that out of 60yrs for almost 50 yrs there was Congress Government in India, hence it is to be blamed first and then he will jump against BJP and other parties of the Sangh Parivaar.

Assuming that he is a strong person who can mould Public Opinion to a large extent, hence acknowledging the usage of his power, BJP is using Baba as an agent- lets understand what system we follow- We follow a Westminster form of Democratic Government.

1960s- Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru said to Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee- “You have immense potential in yourself. One day you will become the Prime Minister of India and I will be happy that day. You need to keep a check on me. For the success of the democracy we need a strong opposition. It is only in the presence of the Strong Opposition that India can succeed as a democracy else it will lead to democratic tyranny” (The words are not the same but it means something like this)

Yes, even if he is an agent of BJP, what the harm he is causing to the Democracy, indeed he is attempting to pressurise the Government to get our Money back.

When we as a youth almost every day get a text regarding what all things can we get if get out black money back, then why aren’t we ready to support this Baba- why do we have to oppose him? Why do we have to question his credibility when he has done so much in the health sector?

When will we respect our land and values over others? When will we truly behave as a democracy, with empathy for all. When will we bridge the gap between the urban and rural India, between Modern and traditional India? When will we be able to invent Hindustaan, invent Bharat, our real identity, in this apparent veil put on our faces by West. When will we be able to look at our own men with a sense of bonding and love?

Or should we wait for the explosion of the feelings?

Bottom of Form

Feminism : By Male Chauvinist, Apparent Feminist : Alleged Patriarch-Orthodox Vedchetan

From past few months I have been thinking- reflecting and contemplating on the thought, or say notion which few of my friends have about me, that I am a pseudo-feminist and that I claim to be feminist.

Well, lets buy their proposition that I am not Feminist. Perhaps at some point of time in a particular phase of my Life I was not feminist neither did I felt that advocating Women Rights worth my time and efforts (For whatever reasons I had with my limited but developing perception of women, life and world at large). But then the whole argument which I have with my friends about why I am feminist and their subsequent one-sided and unreasoned conclusion about me being a fake and pseudo-feminist coupled with the titles of me being a Patriarch and Male Chauvinist forced me to put my time to investigate and evaluate myself whether they are right or wrong, whether I am a feminist or a pseudo one, just claiming to be one for the heck of my political and publicity agenda, as alleged or otherwise.

When I think that why I claim to be a feminist, I get no answer but just a strong feeling that Women’s rights needs to be advocated and they be given what they rightfully should be enjoying of. Do I have any political or career oriented or any vested interest in advocating women’s rights? The answer would be relatively different from what one would expect from me to write here, perhaps everybody reading this would say ‘no’ for this paraphrase about my Feminism I am writing is to justify and defend myself. But I would rather like to answer the question in probability of affirmation i.e. perhaps this might work to be of some benefit to me in my future. But then one more question arises which is, do I do it keeping in view any such future gains? Then I would answer that perhaps yes in present, but when I started with it there was no such anticipation about any such future gains. It was indeed after I started advocating women’s rights, I realised that perhaps it can be of some benefit in the future. What kind of gains or benefits will I be deriving?

If I take up my career as a Lawyer, which most likely it seems that I would be taking up, perhaps more female clients will be generated for me wherein I will get an extra-edge over others and thereby one of my pursuits to fight for their rights and fetch justice for them would be achieved.

Secondly if I join politics, perhaps I will get an extra-edge over others in getting female votes or understanding the futuristic politics, perhaps I would end up handling a portfolio like Women and Child Welfare, etc. wherein again I will be having a chance to promote women’s development and their welfare related programmes, understanding the developing democracy and increasing grip of society, socio-political thinkers, judiciary and activists; in the light off recent 2G scams, Adarsh Society Scam, Karantaka Land Allotment and couple of other scams which we read about everyday in Newspapers.

Thirdly few of my friends might end up saying or concluding, which is one of the most probable opinion they have, that I will have a better chance to play around females and female feminists. Howsoever disgusting but I am forced to take this into consideration while evaluation my stand and true cause behind feminism. Notwithstanding the complexity and cogency of my thoughts and philosophy which lies behind my cause, I leave it free for the people to decide and put it to the test of the time that who is the beneficiary whether me or females if I continue with it and all intelligentsia which oppose or criticise me become an active or passive support in my cause, if not, then at-least by not being a barrier in my way, for I am strongly fearful of their intellectual abilities to manipulate the thoughts of the female masses coupled with the inherent weakness of my strategy of sculpturing the feminism, feminist movement in India and its definition in the World at large, in the right way which I feel it should be, thereby maintaining the balance between the female rights, family structure one of the essentials of the stable social fabric which is one of the four pillars of the Welfare State which Mankind is striving to achieve from the time immemorial.

In my five years of study in GLC I have seen many girls closely, I never tried to understand them in my first year or for that matter till the end of my second year. But gradually with time I became closer and closer to females, the emotions on which I used to laugh as a kid I felt the necessity and genuineness with which those females feel, the strength and love which is attached with it, when anything goes wrong in their lives, sometimes in family, sometimes with their relations with their boyfriend, sometimes what they see happening on the roads- incidents like eve teasing, sometimes in parties when strange guys take advantage of the crowd to molest females. By fortune’s grace I got the chance to know this aspect of life as it was my activities in GLC which gave me a chance to be the problem solver of lot of people around me. And it was my genuineness which drove more and more people, may that be girls or boys who took up their academic, research oriented and personal problems with me with a trust and faith which consequently gave me chance to understand the human relations, human thought process, their desires, the things about which they strongly feel for, about things which they like or dislike, things which drive them crazy, things which they love or hate. My pursuit always remained to know the reason behind such feelings and emotions, after knowing such reasons, to know the reason, causes and deep rooted social structuring (which is changing with time and technology) of the existence of such reasons. If any man of prudence is to practise this exercise, then I am sure he will definitely reach the same conclusions on which I am today, by stating this I am not denying the fact and probability that there can be better and improvised versions of conclusions, but what I am attempting to deny here is that there won’t be inferior versions of conclusions, else the prudence needs to be put to test of time and let our conclusions be empirical.

When Feminists in India talk about Feminism in India and Feminism in the world, the distinction considering the socio-cultural differences and the effects- outcome and response of the society towards such efforts are worth considering when I want to justify my stand and the strategic approach towards maintaining a balance of society, social fabric, advocacy of Feminism, and my attempt to reorient and revisit the whole concept, nonetheless I cannot forget that even I am a product of this Society and somewhere unnoticed is the role of society in developing my thought process, whether accepted or denied, but however I took every effort to neutralise my thought process over a period of time by my study of Society, human Nature, certain philosophies and the Ancient Indian Shastras, with my limited but developing understanding.

Here are few answers to the allegations and questions and certain statements made by few of my Intellingent but westernised friends (female) who call me a Hindu patriarch whose philosophy of life is based on ancient Indian literature, Shastras and Smritis, hence I am unworthy of understanding the modern concepts of Feminism. The very thought of all such friends of mine who say that feminism as a concept or notion is not Indian but we have to borrow it from west will be proved wrong once you read the following instances off Ancient Indian texts :

Beginning from the first inception of the Universe, there is a fascinating myth associated with the creation of woman by the Supreme Creator, Lord Brahma. And indeed, beginning from Brahma Himself, the idea of feminism in Indian literature, both oral and written, had begun to be established, though perhaps not as blatant as is today. It is said that Brahma had first created man and in his generosity, had desired to give man a companion. But by then he had depleted all the material in the creation of man and hence he had borrowed umpteen components from the handsome creation of nature and had thus made woman out of them. Lord Brahma had introduced woman to his earlier creation man stating, "She will serve you lifelong and if you cannot live with her, neither can you live without her". The primeval myth carries an unambiguous implication of woman`s image in life and literature for centuries.

World`s two of the most prehistoric greatest epics, Ramayana and Mahabharata written by two sages Valmiki and Ved Vyas have been composed pivoting around two central characters Sita and Draupadi, both women. It was during this time that the nascent stages of feminism was born in ancient Indian literature, the illustration of which needs no further introduction - the tribulations of both Sita and Draupadi is perhaps realised by every Indian presently. The key role women played in literature and life in the past and present in both parts of the globe is equally significant. In ancient Vedic literature, women were elevated to Devis (Goddesses); they were turned into myths and legends. Her real identity of a woman however was provided by the primordial myth, that is social stereotypes which have been suggested, are two poles of feminine experience in the world. Sita absorbs all harshly imposed desolation and mortification of the male ego, whereas, Draupadi challenges the male ego to the epitomic limits of human excellence.

Sita accepts, accommodates and withdraws; Draupadi resents, rejects and involves herself in the process of life as a protagonist. These two feminine archetypes define the limits of feminine experience in reality, especially the Indian literary reality. Even in the present day Indian literature, the gender division moves between new `iconisations` of these two bold and prehistoric figures.

If coming down more down the line, keeping aside the predominated `Hinduistic` beliefs of Vedic Period, the post-Christian era in its just-blooming period, also has retained visions of feminism, not surprisingly from a woman, but from a man. Times during those that is being mentioned, the Indian indigenous cultural background was not much doused within anti-womanly sentiments and badgering the fairer sex with ungainly measures. Literature was not a subject that needed to be left behind, which with time, had gained pace, thus beginning to carve a new way of introducing feminism in Indian literature. It is rather ironical that in India, the premier people who had come forward to claim `women`s rights` were not women but were men. Balaram Das, a poet well known in Orissa was a pioneer of feminism in India. It can be said that long before the idea of feminism had come up in Europe Balaram Das, a poet of the 16th century had brought forth the concept of male domination of women in a strictly patriarchal society.

Poet Balaram Das was also known as revivalist of Vaishnavism. Popularly known as Panchasakha he had a considerable influence on Oriya Literature. Lakshmi Purana composed by Balaram Das was an example of a piece of literature which talked of women liberation and had given birth to the spirits of feminism.

There were two former categories of womenhood - Brahmavadini or Sadyobadhu (the former denoting the ascetic kind in quest of truth, knowledge and spiritual pursuits, which sacrifices life for the society and the second category denoting the domestic woman, the daughter, wife and mother who dedicates herself to the welfare of the family. The images of woman in society and in Indian literature in the past and present mostly belong to the second category). She belongs to a fresh category, more down to earth, more human.

Likewise, with every kind of Indian literature, there have existed such umpteen kinds of the evolution of womanhood, which have also at times taken the shape of feminism, mostly profound in Indian literature in various Indian as well as English languages. In such an article, it is however just not feasible with the least amount of space being defined beforehand. It can be stated with utmost sufficiency in the frame of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan that, Indian literature written in twenty two regional languages and numerous dialects not only reflect a common culture and a uniquely India version and way of life, but surprisingly the face of Indian woman in all Indian literatures has impressed upon a pan-Indian psyche with of course inevitable local touches and variations. Women have inspired literature and the feminine theme has been a pivotal importance too. She herself is also a creator of literature and is all pervading. This is true of Indian literature also. Indian literature spans a rich variety of themes - from the theme of a conventional woman to that of the new woman, reflecting in the process the changes that have been going on in the society. Post-Independence literature in Indian and feminism portrays all these trends and voices, the clamouring of women for a new and just way of life. Over years, the age old image of the woman seems to be slowly blurring and gradually shading off into a new image.

The not-unusual "heterogeneity of Indian experience" reveals that there exists multiple levelled patriarchies and so also there exists multiple level feminisms. Hence, feminism in Indian literature as well as the broader perspective of feminism in India, is not a singular theoretical point of reference; it has metamorphosed with time maintaining proportion with historical and cultural realities, levels of consciousness, perceptions and actions of individual women and women en masse.

Vedas : Science : Womanhood :: Patriarchy

These three Ved mantras also occurring in different places explain the same three stages in the development of the female temperament. In the beginning is what modern science refers to the age before formation of 'the blood brain barrier' in the children i.e. up to about 4 years age. According to our Shastras the girl child is under the guardianship of Soma. Vedas elaborate on Soma as god of intellect and poetically describe Soma being the first husband of the females during their infancy. (Modern science tells us that that DHA (Decosa Hexaenoic Acid) and EPA (Ecosa Pentaenoic Acid) are the two fatty acids that power the human brain in all its activities related to human faculties. DHA is particularly associated with eyesight. Both DHA and EPA are made in the human body from ALA the Omega 3 fatty acids. In young females capacity for conversion of dietary Omega 3 to DHA is nearly 20 times higher and EPA is nearly three times higher than males. Thus it is the female of the species that has been given the extra responsibility to ensure good brains, eye sight, the intellectual strength for the human progeny. Nature has thus provided the females with a far superior role in building a human society than men, because to start with only sharp and farsighted brains ensure a sustainable happy society. This fact is borne out by the observation that in modern society not only in India but even in the Ivy league colleges in USA, girls are regularly obtaining the academic laurels far ahead of boys. This is no different from Indian experience. Girls are seen to be snatching the top scholastic positions in all examinations in India. This is the scientific basis of the unique Vedic Culture that addresses the girl child as an object of veneration and the females to be accorded high position and treated with respect in society. In the second stage till the age of puberty around 12/13 years, during adolescence the girl child is possessed by Gandharvas. Gandharwas represents aesthetics, all that is beautiful, delicate, sensitive, empathic and virtuous in this world. In visuals the talent for appreciation of beauty, in nature, arts, physical forms, and ability to replicate the same in paintings/sculptures and such visual art forms. In audiovisual areas gandharwas, would represent good sounds, music, dance forms and drama, good vocal abilities, creative writings. Sensitivity for harmonious relations and peace loving attitudes, delicacy, creativity are the gifts to humanity of the Gandhrwas. A girl child through her teens remains preoccupied with these artistic pursuits. These natural traits of females must be given full opportunities to develop. Females thus become the embodiment of these qualities for the human race. Poetically Vedas describe the Gandhrwas as the second husbands of the females.) In the third stage, with development of physical body functions, in Vedic language female body is as if afire with – the flesh gets stronger - by कामाग्नि. Female becomes ready for taking on her role of a wife by being married to a human being. And thus bring forth good progeny for progress and continuation of human society. 3-हस्तेनैव ग्राह्यआधिरस्या ब्रह्मजायेयमिति चेदवोचन्‌ ।

Understanding these notions in the light of the scriptures sighted above, I reassert that thinking from Vedic point of view is no patriarchy and if at all it is it is much better than western form of feminism which advocates individualism prima facie thereby in the long run hampers the family structure of the society.

Lets also venture into few common questions about females’ relations with males. I remember one of my conversations about the earning capacities about the females. I leave it open to the average Indian women/female what would she want her husband to be earning like, the most probable answer y the majority of them would be that they want their husband to earning more than them.

Second question which I would like to put here is regarding the dressing style of the women. Personally I have no objection when girls of my college or for that matter any of my friend, dress in “apparently civilised, stylish and modern style” i.e. the so called exposing of body. Appealing for all boys, girls do get extra appreciation and comments specially on facebook when they upload such snaps, then would you girls when you will roam around in the streets of Delhi or Punjab like a guy staring at you, checking you in and out, if not you then for that matter any other girl in front of you. Of course no doubt all of us are located in Mumbai and culture here is much different than one in the northern states, hence you won’t find such instances happening here. But even few instances of checking out girls, when you come across, do you morally have any right to condemn those boys for being “cheap” and check you out. Unfortunately when guys like me oppose we are in no time labelled as Patriarchs, Male Chauvinists, etc, etc.

Thirdly when it comes to the discussions regarding sex before marriage, when I have shown strong reservations for that, one of my friend called me a guy of Small Town Mentality, looser and Chauvinist, this was in my First Year, and she advocated that Sex before Marriage is fine. Cool, I understand its your choice, your life. But the question remains would one be happy, if her sister, mother or daughter sleeps with somebody else outside marital relationship. Perhaps, I believe the answer would be no, especially when anybody would contemplate about their own mothers having extra marital affairs. Hence if the same girl is having sexual relation outside/without marital relation, it is fine, but it is not fine with the same girl when it comes to her mother having extra-marital relationship. The question is Why? Perhaps the whole notion of Motherhood is so respectful, even in the eyes of such girl, that any such act by her mother would be derogatory and defaming for her too. The Society precisely follows the same notion of respect of women and thereby whips a moral and social obligatory norm about maintaining of chastity of women. But unfortunately under the guise of Feminism, things percolate in a wring manner at the bottom level, ultimately leading to the decomposition of the very social fabric on which the humanity thrives.

Fourthly with respect to Family, as I have already explained that why Indian tradition and patriarchs like me advocate Women’s pivotal role in Family, especially upbringing of child, it is supported by the Scientific experiments too.

Fifthly studies in UK and USA have shown that the children who were brought in play schools and nursery away from their mothers and families showed more violent, intellectually retarded than average student brought under the care and love of mother and family. Hence when I advocate that women should not work till their kids are 8 yrs old or so, I am labelled as patriarch, and all women talk about their life, their identity, their career, in my opinion they should not forget that even if 50% of all the children turn retarded, the state of affairs of this land of ours would be doomed as the one entire generation will be paralysed with un-intellectual, violent and retarded youth as its part and liability on the state, further/consequently hampering their future generations.

Hence the women, atleast in India should never forget that their natural and primary duty is to take care of the society, by taking care of their own families. It is only when the Family structure is stable the society would survive, and mind you we men are no match for you to take care of families, neither intellectually nor emotionally, and not in the least physically i.e biologically.

And when I say this I am no Male chauvinist, I am no patriarch but I humbly attempt to be a social engineer and save My Motherland, India from the spoils of the Western Individualism, which is very attractive glamorous to talk about, but remember in the long term it will destroy the family culture. Nonetheless, I am sure everybody in the west and in the east will agree that in India life is much happier and content than in West, the credit is to be given to the Family structure. Let us save our prudence, family structure, society and Nation, before we loose it completely under the guise of Individualism, thereby leading our Identity to its doom.

I believe all female readers will understand it from the sense in which it is written in its spirit instead of paraphrasing the world in its literal meaning. If at all anybody is to gain anything from this it is only the society and neither Male Chauvinists, patriarchs, nor westernised nor Indianite females, and at the end if we save society there is nothing to loose by making little sacrifices.
